چکیده
Background and Objective — Subclinical gestational hypothyroidism (SGH) diabetes mellitus (GDM) constitute two most common endocrine pathologies encountered during pregnancy. SGH GDM have pathophysiological mechanisms, being interrelated pathological conditions that are capable of complicating the course pregnancy, labor postpartum period both on part mother fetus. We aimed to analyze relationship between these assess risk developing against background hypothyroidism. Materials Methods study included 200 pregnant women observed at Perinatal Center Maternity Hospital Bauman State Clinical No. 29 2018-2020. The main group consisted 133 who visited perinatal center for (both primary hypothyroidism, detected prior pregnancy); control comprised 67 without pathology. Both groups were comparable in terms age, height, weight, number pregnancies anamneses. received levothyroxine sodium therapy with achievement target trimester-specific level thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH). criteria diagnosis TSH above 2.5 μIU/mL combination an enlarged titer antithyroid antibodies and/or a burdened medical history thyroid pathology, or 4.0 absence [1]. was established basis fasting hyperglycemia (≥5.1 mmol/L), based results oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) 75 g glucose: ≥5.1 mmol/L; concentration 1 hour after intake ≥10.0 content 2 hours ≥8.5 mmol/l) [2]. In groups, frequency GDM, timing diagnosis, need insulin evaluated. Statistical data processing carried out using StatTech v. 2.1.0 software. Quantitative indicators assessed compliance normal distribution via Shapiro-Wilk criterion Kolmogorov-Smirnov criterion. Intergroup comparison performed Mann-Whitney U Pearson’s chi-squared test. Results discovered among family pathology mellitus, as well prevalence higher. presence anamnesis associated earlier revealed significant difference subjects. chances detecting 8.6 times higher than euthyroidism group. threshold first trimester, predicting development identified. sensitivity specificity model 71.4% 63.1%, respectively. Conclusion Hypofunction pathologies. SGH), develops significantly more often. trimester ≥2.7 amplifies chance by over 8 times; hence, it could be considered signal timely prevention detection this

Relationship between body mass index and gestational diabetes mellitus
Background: Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is one of the most common medical complications in pregnancy, which is associated with many serious consequences for mother and her fetus. Body mass index (BMI) in pregnant women is considered as one of most effective factor for the incidence of GDM. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between BMI at pregnant women in the early...

Design: Pregnant women between 16 and 30 weeks of gestation at 18 collaborating centres were screened for insulin intolerance. Those having 1 or more risk factors for gestational diabetes or who had results from a 50-g oral glucose challenge test (defined as ≥ 7.8 mmol/L at 1 h) underwent a 75-g oral glucose tolerance test at 24–34 weeks’ gestation. Healthy women with a fasting plasma-glucose m...

متن کاملThe Relationship between Gestational Diabetes and Subclinical Hypothyroidism in Pregnancy: A Narrative Study
Introduction: Thyroid disorders and gestational diabetes are the most common endocrine disorders during pregnancy. Given the important role of thyroid hormones in glucose metabolism and homeostasis, it seems that thyroid disorders can have significant effects on glucose metabolism and insulin secretion and may contribute to gestational diabetes. This review aimed to investigate the association ...
